23 July. Masked lockdown
…………………The letter is no longer archived here. The entire content of Letters to Byron is a book, available in Paperback or Kindle.
My beautiful Byron,
This Thursday is the last week of July.
By now you are on ‘summer holiday’ and I cannot imagine what that must be like.
I would have loved to have you here with me this summer. Lockdown does still mean cool opportunities to do fun stuff even though California right now is having another spike of infections so we are very careful to mask and social distance.
We still can play instruments, go hiking, paddle board on the Pacific. Cycling. You could have tennis coaching. And swimming every day from the beach I built next to the pool, called ‘Byron’s beach’. That’s fun in the sun. And we do have lots of sun.
I wonder what you are doing this summer? If you can write or call, it would be great to know.
Facebook messaging means if you click on messaging here – and text me – I can video call you back.
Miss you,
Love you,
Daddy
