Angel Inspiration by Andrew Brel and Celestial 7.

This was an unusual musical project whose origins lie in the famous musicians joke 'how many guitarists does it take to change a lightbulb. Answer 11. One to change the lightbulb, and ten to say 'I can do that better.'

One day in 2001, I drove a friend, the authoress Diana Cooper, whose car had broken down, to one of her workshops.  Happy to help, as ever, I arrived early to collect her for the return leg after the workshop and while waiting outside the hall I heard the new age meditation music that she used so effectively in the context of her workshop.

It was the first time I had heard this compositional style and it resonated with me in a way that felt familiar.   In the car driving home we chatted about this musical style and Diana suggested I write seven pieces of music themed to the content of her workshops at that time. She had recently had a book published called "Angel Inspiration'.

I have to give enormous credit to Diana for directing the process of this album and for playing it regularly at her workshops, leading to exposure and encouragement.

As fortune would have it, I had just completed setting up a new studio in my home, a professional recording studio that was available to me at no cost. I had also recently returned from a visit to Los Angeles, where I had bought a hand-made Taylor guitar, a marquee instrument of the highest order. I was looking for any excuse to play it, and use it as a recording instrument.

So the following day I set about making a channeled music recording themed on seven archangels; Gabriel, Jophiel, Chamuel, Michael, Raphael, Uriel and Zadkiel. I had the album more or less complete by the following weekend, a song a day for seven days. Diana previewed it at her workshop to a 'live audience' and as a result of that encouragement I released "Angel Inspiration" through my record label.

Diana loved the music and used the album as musical accompaniment at her workshops, selling CD's directly alongside her own merchandise. The first print-run of 1,000 CD's sold out within a Month via Diana Coopers workshops.

Subsequently the album kept being re-ordered (On CD) by New Age stores worldwide, especially in Finland, Sweden, Germany,  South Africa and parts of the USA. That started a flow of correspondence from many who had enjoyed positive experiences from listening to the music. It created a demand market for me to continue my exploration in solfeggio composition of this New Age type.

I was thrilled by the thought that this album has helped people improve the quality of their lives motivating me to explore the genre further which has led to many more albums motivated by the same intention. To assist wellness.

'Angel Inspiration' includes beautiful piano performances by Pete Stone and the sound of a lovely Taylor acoustic guitar that was consumed by fire shortly after this recording was made, consistent with the sequence of unusual synchronicities that characterised the making of this album, not the least of which was the Twin towers incident the day after the recording was completed on September 10, 2001.

My first day off after making this album was September 11th so I remember it well. The Taylor guitar only ever appeared on that one record. Shortly after completing the album, my new studio and my home burned down. The guitar was an ashen casualty of that fire and the only evidence of its existence is on the recording “Angel Inspiration”.

“When I heard this music I was taken straight to the Angelic Realm”Diana Cooper.
