Novembers news. (2000)Adjusting to the new Home - The end of Autumn and the floods. Rehearsing and performing on the BBC.

I moved downstairs recently, and my routine changed. It was a bit strange at first - especially as I had to give up passive smoking as well - which is no joke for a young dog on 60 a day. Then the big storms came - which woke me up at night. Actually it was rather terrifying and I had to go wake my dad to tell him.

Heres my daily view - and the river is running very high. The tow path has flooded completely so the walking is a messy business.....
With all this stress going on - I became a little depressed and started a bad habit of biting myself. The vet was quite nice about it - and I had a day and a half of therapy - which did the trick. Even dogs need councilling sometimes.... |
.
Part of my new routine means I get walked at strange times in the morning. Its either around 7 along the tow path - or around 9 through the golf course. The one good thing about all this is that I get to go out for breakfast every morning. Here I am arriving at the breakfast place after my walk..... |
.
They make me go on a lead when I get into the Restaurant - which is quite unnecessary. Its the price of admission - so I put up with it..... |
.
Some days the service is a bit slow - and I have to wait for ages....
|
.
At last
Today its grilled sausage - sliced just the way I like it......... And in case you're wondering - yes I do eat my greens.
Actually its sausage most days - although Last week they were out of sausage and I had steak. Cooked medium rare just for me.....Enjoyed telling my friends down the towpath about that one.... |
.
It was worth the wait .. |
.
This really is a great Restaurant - |
.
Any chance of seconds? |

Here I am at work. Leo is doing a Children in Need live appearance on the BBC and my dad has done a version of 'You make me feel like dancing' with an acoustic guitar take on it. Here we are rehearsing for show at Leos - tRonnie, Mark B, Leo and Josh.
I like it round Tito's house ... |
.
'But it looks like such a comfortable spot for a nap..... |
.
Right - were off to Reading for the Children in Need show on BBC...
As you can see I've had a visit the the groomer for this show. |
.
He's a bit slow - its an age thing I think...... |
.
This is life on the road for a travelling dog... M3 - M25... M this M that.... Its all nonsense to me - but I find the lights fascinating...... |
.
Just for a moment there I thought he was going to leave me in the car. It was cold out there - but this dressing room is nice and warm. No food though. Luckily the company is good... |
.
And this is the band on the stage just before the show. |
.
Were on the road home here. Finally bonded with the driver/drummer guy - who was a bit neurotic with dogs. Almost as bad as Ronnie Johnson he was. Had to work on him for a quite while - until he finally cracked in the dressing room after the show. Now he keeps patting my head and saying 'what an amazing dog'. Humans ey - bad enough and then you get Drummers. More work than theyre worth I sometime think. Luckily hes a good driver, and now he doesnt shout at me when I do the navigating. |
Wallace's favorite music, without which none of this would be possible, is available here
This is meditation music - beautiful soundscapes incorporating notes, frequencies and tempos woven into a harmonious musical blend using only positive elements, to raise individual consciousness, align you with the spiritual laws and enable you to upgrade your life experience, helping you enhance and uphold a positive attitude and enjoyment of life. It works great on dogs too. Whenever this music comes on - I lie by the speaker for an uplifitng snooze.
