War Pipes

War Pipes is a five piece ROCK band.
Based in Los Angeles, the band was founded by DAVEY JOHNSTONE who is widely recognised for his prolific recording output as Musical Director for Elton John.

Davey's guitar playing on such `classics' as `The bitch is back' and `Saturday nights alright for fighting' has established his reputation as one of the great players in the Rock genre.

As a writer, Davey has contributed to many classic Elton John hits including "I Guess thats why they call it the blues" and "Cage the songbird".

The band includes:

Guy Babylon on Keyboards, Bob Birch on Bass, and Nigel Olsson on drums, all of whom are known for their contributions to the Elton John catalogue.

Los Angeles based 'voice meister' Billy Trudel completes the quintet.

The Songs:
Twelve original songs, celebrating the traditional Rock n' Roll themes, written by Davey Johnstone, Steve Trudell and Guy Babylon.

The Recording:
Made in Los Angeles, the songs feature performances of great quality in the Rock genre. Stadium style power chord anthems like "Rock and Roll condition" co exist happily on the CD with the more sensitive acoustic, mandolin driven "Son of a loaded gun."
